Practical Professional Dog Grooming Course
This course is a Professional dog grooming practical experience day, you will learn how to groom your dog or a dog you choose to a professional pet standard in a fully equipped salon, this is an ideal course to add to your current pet business portfolio, it would go hand in hand with your pet walking business or pet sitting business, although it is aimed at people in the pet industry there is no entry requirements so you can groom your own pet should you wish.

City and Guilds level 2 for dog grooming assistants
City and Guilds level 2 for dog grooming assistants
A 10-day practical in-salon experience for the level 2 city and guilds grooming course for dog grooming assistants, this course is 10 days full of practical training including clipping which is teamed with the theory work, you will be expected to complete the full 180 hours and be expected to do assignments and homework tasks to be eligible to pass this course, so please be aware that some home study is needed to complete the 180 GLH, we can work with your schedule and do 1-2 days per week for numerous weeks or as a block of Mon-Fri for 2 weeks, tutor support is always available for your assignments.
Areas covered are as follows:
1)Preparing and grooming dogs prior to bathing
2) Bathing of dogs
3) Drying dogs and preparing a dog for styling
4) Carrying out trimming of a dog’s coat to
prepare for styling
5)Moving and lifting dogs
6) Maintaining the cleanliness and bio security of the dog grooming environment
7) Professional conduct
8) An introduction to anatomical features, breed characteristics and behaviour of dogs.
There will be a practical assessment and a multiple-choice exam to pass this course.

As our online store is for booking physical in-the-classroom education with a teacher present, (this is possibly within a few days of the chosen course starting) there is a set no-returns Policy in place, we can not refund for education once the place has been reserved and you have been enrolled on City and Guilds or OCNs database, your enrollment onto city and guilds database is chargeable to our company so we can not offer refunds, we can offer alternative dates at our discretion for you to attend the education but we can not refund once your education is booked and enrollment has taken place.
